March 05, 2021

We are excited to announce that we will be holding this year’s fair online. Our Committee has been working hard to organize a virtual fair that will give students the opportunity to not only explore an aspect of Canadian history and heritage but to also celebrate the results of their efforts in a virtual learning environment.

The fair is open to students from grades four to ten in the English and French Ottawa-Carleton public and catholic school boards, private schools, Pikwakanagan First Nations education network and home-schooled children.

Teachers will be able to register their students’ projects from April 19 to May 2, 2021. Projects will be judged online by volunteer judges from May 5 to 16, 2021. We will celebrate the results with an award ceremony on the week of May 17, 2021 (date to be confirmed).

Students can submit projects in one of three formats: Video, Slide Presentation (Google Slides or PowerPoint) or PDF Presentation with photos and narrative context.

All the information that you need to participate can be found on this site. You can also contact us for more information by sending us a message using our contact us form.

We look forward to working with you; the students, the teachers, our partners, our volunteers, and the community.
